A long way to go… the “Before” shot

I have attempted this before. Twice. I have yet to get myself in a groove with a blog, so a clean slate re-design is in order. The plan is to chronicle my build on a 1953 Pontiac Chieftain as well as other fabrication or design projects I have completed in the past. I’ll try to keep this current and timely and shoot for 3 updates a week. This feels a little Doogie Howser-ish, but here we go.

The before shot: A 1953 Pontiac Chieftain previously owned by my friend and former employer, Randy Clark, owner of Hot Rods & Custom Stuff in Escondido, CA. It’s a tank but there is much hidden below the thin layer of grime and dust accumulated from 20 years of sitting in the desert. I acquired the car in a trade, the previous owner acquired it in an undisclosed trade in the 1980’s for probably 2 chickens and a set of old tires (purely speculation). Needless to say there is a long way to go.
